Coronavirus Safety Guidelines in Place at Our Urgent Care Locations in Cape May County, NJ
The coronavirus pandemic has created uncertainty about pursuing many activities that were once taken for granted, including whether to seek medical treatment and other urgent care services at walk-in clinics. At Cape Regional Urgent Care, we take pride in offering the coronavirus testing services our patients need to make important decisions about their health, and we also place a high priority on patient safety. We offer COVID-19 testing at all three of our urgent care locations in Cape May County, New Jersey, while continuing to offer treatment to our walk-in patients for a wide variety of nonemergency illnesses and injuries. To protect our patients and staff, we’ve implemented a number of safety protocols, including these:
- Appointments are available for those seeking coronavirus testing so that our staff can be prepared to bring them to the designated testing area in our clinic when they arrive
- Mandating that patients and staff wear facial coverings while inside our clinic
- Arranging seating in our reception area so that patients can maintain a social distance of at least 6 feet
- Being hyper-vigilant about cleaning and disinfecting our facilities
Our coronavirus safety guidelines are consistent with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations for outpatient health care facilities.
Coronavirus Testing Options Available at Our Urgent Care Clinics
At Cape Regional Urgent Care, we offer two types of nasal swab tests designed to detect an active COVID-19 infection: rapid coronavirus tests, with results available within minutes, and polymerase chain reaction (PCR) tests, with results typically available in a day or two.
We also offer coronavirus antibody testing, which involves analyzing a small blood sample for evidence of a past COVID-19 infection. Positive antibody test results may indicate the patient has some immunity to the disease.
We offer coronavirus testing and other nonemergency health services during extended hours every day of the week, including weekends.
We’ll be happy to tell you more about the coronavirus safety guidelines we’ve implemented at our walk-in clinics in Cape May County. Contact Cape Regional Urgent Care today if you have questions.
