But Cape Regional Urgent Care is doing our part to provide safe and convenient coronavirus testing at all three of our locations, including the Marmora urgent care clinic that’s closest to Ocean City, New Jersey.
We’re accepting online appointments for coronavirus testing seven days a week. This allows us to provide a critical service to our community while maintaining strict safety protocols as we continue to treat walk-in patients with non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.
What Is COVID-19?
COVID-19 is a shorthand reference to a new strain of coronavirus disease that began infecting humans in 2019. It’s a highly contagious respiratory illness that can lead to serious breathing difficulties. Senior adults and persons with underlying medical conditions are thought to be at the highest risk for developing COVID-19 complications, but there have been reports of serious cases among young, healthy people as well.
Who Can Get Coronavirus Testing at Cape Regional Urgent Care?
Anyone who wants to be tested can book an appointment online and receive COVID-19 testing at our urgent care clinics. There is no preauthorization required, and we accept many health insurance plans and forms of payment. We offer two types of coronavirus tests:
- Nasal swab testing to detect an active infection
- Antibody serum testing, which is a blood test that can determine whether you have contracted the virus and recovered
