Frequently Asked Questions About Walk-In Urgent Care Services in Cape May County, NJ
What is the difference between an urgent care clinic and the emergency room?
Cape Regional Urgent Care clinics are conveniently located to provide diagnosis and treatment for a wide variety of non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries with no appointment needed. We also offer health care services such as lab testing, IV therapy, X-rays, and sports physicals. Although our board-certified doctors have experience in emergency care, it’s best to seek treatment at the emergency room if you or your children have symptoms of life-threatening conditions such as chest pain, severe breathing problems, a high fever with a rash, or a serious injury from a car accident or fall. Generally speaking, if you’d be comfortable consulting with your primary care physician about your symptoms, but he or she is unavailable for an immediate appointment, our walk-in urgent care clinics can be a great alternative.
How far away is your walk-in clinic from my home?
We have three Cape Regional Urgent Care locations in Cape May County so that residents and visitors won’t have to drive far to get the high-quality health care they need. For example, if you’re located in Somers Point or Ocean City, our Marmora walk-in clinic is only 5 miles away, and from Woodbine it’s only 13 miles. We also have walk-in clinics in Wildwood and Cape May Court House. Click here to find the Cape Regional Urgent Care clinic that’s closest to you. It’s also a good idea to consider that our wait times are exceptionally short – often shorter than other walk-in clinics that may be closer to you – so driving a little farther for speedy service may be worth your while.
How long will I have to wait to see a doctor?
All of our urgent care clinics are fully staffed, so our wait times are consistently among the shortest you’ll find in this area. We also offer a convenient online check-in option that will allow you to save your spot in line before you arrive.
What hours are you open?
Currently, we are open from 8:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. every day of the week, but our hours may change from time to time. Our clinics are closed on Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day, and we close at 4 p.m. on Easter, Christmas Eve, New Year’s Eve, and New Year’s Day. You can check our website for current hours of operation, or call us at (609) 465-6364.
What are your payment options?
We accept many insurance plans and credit cards. Click here to see a list of the insurance plans we accept. We recommend that insured patients contact their insurance providers for information about coverage and requirements. Self pay options available.
Do you offer electrocardiograms (EKGs)?
We accept referrals for EKGs, which are tests that measure the electrical activity of the heart. These tests are typically requested by a doctor’s office or surgery center as a pre-operative requirement. However, we offer the testing only, not interpretation of the results.
